Education and Outreach

Many carriers still do not know that they have the right to review the required broker transaction record. Closing that information gap is one of the fastest changes the industry can make today.

Many carriers do not know that 49 CFR 371.3 gives each party to a brokered transaction the right to review the broker's required transaction record. That current right is retrospective. AFFTRA seeks to add automatic disclosure before the load is booked.

• Advertising and social outreach to reach drivers where they already are.
• Plain-English educational material on regulations, rights, and process.
• Member templates and toolkits that make correct action easy and repeatable.
• Direct updates and coordinated campaigns through the member community.

As the movement grows, we intend to develop a nationwide truck stop education campaign, meeting drivers face to face at the places they stop every day. This is planned as one of our primary outreach programs.
