Join the MovementBorn and raised in communist Cuba, Tony came to the United States at 22 years old, built a new life, and proudly became an American citizen. He spent four years driving armored trucks before moving into tractor trailers. In September 2005, he became an owner operator, and more than two decades later, he continues operating the same truck he used to build his business.
Tony understands freedom, small business ownership, sacrifice, and the consequences of allowing powerful institutions to control the lives and livelihoods of working people. His experience as an immigrant, American citizen, professional driver, and longtime owner operator gives the organization a powerful perspective on opportunity, responsibility, and economic freedom.
